Jehangir Art Gallery
Located at Kala Ghoda in Mumbai Jehangir Art gallery was founded by Sir Cowasji Jehangir. The gallery also includes the Chemould and Terrace Art Galleries. The first exhibition that held in Jehangir Art Gallery was of a collection of paintings by Jamini Roy.

National Gallery of Modern Art
The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) is located near Regal Cinema at Colaba in South Mumbai. As India's premier art galleries the National Gallery of Modern Art was opened to public in 1996. Since then it has been a generous patron of emerging and contemporary art, hosting the best in Indian art as well as the world. The thriving three tiered structure of NGMA houses collections from India's best-known living artists and provides a useful overview of the country's contemporary art scenario.

Piramal Art Gallery
As an outcome of the initiative of National Center for Performing Art, Piramal Art Gallery came up functioning as a part of the Center for Photography as an Art Form. Piramal Art Gallery is the only gallery of its kind in India, which exhibits works of leading India and International Photographers. The gallery has a preservation vault, which has a rare collection of the works of renowned photographers such as Judith Mara Gutman, August Sander, Asvin Mehta and Raghubir Singh.

The Art Gallery of Nehru Center

Prithvi Gallery
Based on Juhu Church Road in Juhu, Prithvi Gallery is a part of the Prithvi Theater Complex open for public from 12 O'clock to 8pm. Pundole Art Gallery
Stared in 1963 by Kali Pundole, the Pundole Art Gallery is based at 369, Dadabhai Naoroji Road, Fort, Mumbai. Devoted to modern Indian Art, the gallery has exhibited the works of M F Hussain, Akbar Padamsee, Laxman Shreshta, Badrinarayan, and Ram Kumar.

Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery
Set up in 1980 at 226 Bajaj Bhavan at Nariman Point in Mumbai, the Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery aims at promoting budding artists. The gallery is reserved for students from June to August and open to all artists only from September to March. In the month May workshops are held on wide subjects ranging from basic drawing and painting to miniature painting (their specialization), ceramics, pottery, terracotta, puppetry, and mask painting.
